- uses a racial slur in one of his songs, reacted badly to a call-out of this
- general ableist or other statements
- general theiving, dishonest guy
~A Count Named Slickbrass
- appropriates in the name of “satire” things he has no right to
- misogynist tendencies, including joking about violence against women
- general lack of understanding of how PoC oppression works
- female congoers have reported harassment (not sourced to protect identities)
~Nick Ottens of the Gatehouse Gazette
- coined the term “Victorientalism,” fervently defends that nonsense
- ~Not a celeb, but Brass Goggles, tends to allow and promote racist/problematic discussions because the predominantly white membership doesn’t have a problem with it.
~Evelyn Kriete
- Bullying, theft of the work of others, and in general moving things around to personally help her own (unfairly). Easily google’d.
~Steam-Power Giraffe’s very own David
- not as bad as Robert Brown, but this is a major warning flag.
OTHER
- reacted poorly to trans women complaining about his portrayal of trans women in Sandman
- said the genocide of Native Americans was “boring and trivial”
- married Amanda Palmer, does nothing to curb her horseshit
