who is surprised that this movie, now featuring asians (with north koreans as the main villains) coincides with the US’ renewed focus in establishing dominance in asia (see: obama’s asia/pacific pivot)? but americans love to think their media and government have no overlap and that propaganda is something only communists do so i guess it doesn’t really matter.
white americans watch some redbaiting anti asian propaganda and want to kill asians; meanwhile if asians under american dominance should even express anti american sentiment, they are ungrateful, reverse racist, parochial, communist, and xenophobic. even as US occupation destroys everything it touches in asia. even as western forces have already invaded asian lands and destroyed so much and killed millions of people and separated thousands of families. god american memory is short. i guess having a memory would require actual teaching about US wars in asia, tho, and that would probably require some accountability, and we all know how the US is about accountability. :) so instead of anything remotely realistic or creative, we have crackers and their wild imaginations. actually, we don’t even have that. we just have whitey here with no imagination or perspective, just hackneyed reiterations of US foreign policy and redbaiting racist propaganda.
*as if DPRK is or would be an actual threat without US and ROK isolating and baiting. and how is it realistic at all that tiny ass north korea, wrecked by famine and US/UN foreign policy, would invade the US?
