quixotess asked: 21:Whats your least favorite movie? & 97:Do you want kids?
21: Oh gee, I don’t know! Do you mean, the movie I dislike a lot, or a movie I have as a favourite but it’s not as strong a favourite as other movies I’d count as a favourite? Hrm. Either way it’s tough! I generally tend to avoid movies that I feel I may viscerally dislike, and among the recent movies I’ve watched, I think The Green Hornet is the one to send my Annoyance Meter off the scale. (Green Lantern and Tron: Legacy also fall into this category, but Hornet was the most annoying, oh my god, how did Jay Chou not end up smashing in Seth Rogen’s face.)
97: I do! Well, one. I want a kid. As in, kid that is borne of my own loins and all that. I have this idea that I will quit with the birth control when I turn 29 or 30 and be reckless with the fucking, and if I get pregnant, I move home with my parents, so my kid has a chance to learn the languages I didn’t, and I don’t have to raise my kid alone, because I don’t believe in the nuclear family system, and am a huge fan of multi-generational family households. (Which is a bit of a contradiction because I am a solitary person and I like being left alone.) I’m not averse to becoming part of a blended family though, i.e. if any future partner has kids of hir own, I’d have no issue helping raise them. Anyway, motherhood is definitely something I want to take on in the future, and if I can’t have a kid of my own, I will simply transfer all that inclination to mom people littler than myself to everybody else’s kids. (Which is a reason why I am feminist!)
(All this makes sense, right?)
